FAQ

Common Questions

Everything you need to know before you tune. Still stuck? Reach out — we answer fast.

Will a tune damage my engine?

A properly written calibration is safer than the factory tune in many cases — factory tuning often runs lean and hot for emissions. We build every tune conservatively within safe limits for your fuel system and bottom end, and we validate on the dyno.

Will it void my warranty?

Reverting to a non-factory calibration can affect your powertrain warranty. Many customers opt to return to stock before dealer service. We can provide a stock file so you can flash back anytime.

What fuel do I need?

Most of our tunes run on standard pump diesel. If we're pushing big numbers, we may recommend a higher-flow fuel system or specific fuel quality. We'll tell you exactly what's needed for your setup before you buy.

How is the tune file delivered?

We email your calibration file, usually within 24–72 hours for custom work and faster for pre-built files. You flash it to your truck using your tuner device following our step-by-step guide.

Do I need a tuner device?

Yes — you'll need a supported handheld tuner or programmer to flash your truck. We sell compatible devices in our shop and can walk you through picking the right one.

Which vehicles do you support?

Ford, Dodge/Ram, and Chevy/GMC diesels primarily — 7.3L, 6.4L, and 6.7L Power Stroke; 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins; and 6.6L Duramax. Check our vehicle selection page for your exact year.

What if I change my mods after tuning?

No problem. We keep your base file on record and can re-calibrate for new parts quickly — usually at a reduced rate versus a brand-new tune.

Are delete tunes street legal?

No. Delete tuning removes emissions equipment and is for off-road and competition vehicles only. It may violate emissions laws if driven on public roads. See our delete services page for the full disclaimer.
